What is liberalism?

Liberalism is an intellectual and political tradition that centers individual rights, limits on coercive power, and institutional accountability.

What is the difference between classical liberalism, libertarianism, and the Austrian school?

Classical liberalism is the broad historical tradition of limited government and civil liberty. Libertarianism is usually a stricter modern current about state scope. The Austrian school is an economic and methodological tradition that overlaps with, but is not identical to, either one.
